Pantyhose, stuffing, & mixed fibers 2010 Sheer fashion plus feminine protection was what Big Mama of Sheffield Industries promised their customers. This insured pantyhose offered an aerated hygienic cotton crotch, unlike other competitors in this business at the time. (Patented in 1977) This work inspired by Sheila Hicks and her giant fiber sculptures consists of hand sewn pantyhose links stuffed with cotton and wrapped with various fibers.
