Multiple fibers, foam, & adhesive pearls 2013 "We turn skeletons into goddesses and look to them as if they might teach us how not to need." This work is inspired by a time in the 1930's, where English women intentionally swallowed tapeworms to lose weight. The tattered cream fibers are meant to reference the bodies of the tapeworms. While the adhesive pearls and the form of the piece represent the overlapping strands of pearl necklaces - popular fashion accessory during the time.
