FLOW
Recycled clothes, pantyhose, spray foam, polyfil, paint, & wood 2011 The crimson-drips soak into the bare threads, staining each fiber as gravity pulls it closer. FLOW consists of a single wall installation, constructed out of wood and various used materials. The padded-bloody squares and stuffed egg-shaped pantyhose are meant to represent the menstrual cycle of a woman. When exhibited, Sabine (alter ego of the artist) would be physically attached to the placental strands. This work and performance aspect as a whole portrays the woman as creator.
