Wood, mirror, plexiglas, & manipulated found objects 2010 It was once said that, "Every truth has two sides; it is as well to look at both, before we commit ourselves to either (Aesop)." The Two-Sided Truth consists of three stand-alone works, constructed out of wood and various materials. Each double-sided piece is meant to represent a household object manipulated in a German Expressionist fashion. This series is influenced by our society, whether the past or present day, and is meant to question the different expectations of it; each piece focuses on issues such as the role of the wife, human as machine, and our medicated population.
